The Library
The Morbid Library was established in January 2020 as a personal project of the author.
Its mission statement is twofold – first, to cover cold cases that have received little to no widespread digital coverage; and second, to tell these stories in a digitized and SEO-optimized manner, which will allow them to be searchable and more easily findable.
Basically, in most cases, we want to shine a light on cases that don’t have a dedicated podcast or a longform article about them. There are far too many cold cases buried in dusty newspaper archives that are barely – if at all – searchable.
We want to help tell their stories and make sure their memories stay alive online.
Just in case that one person with the right information is reading.
The Author
CJ Lynch is a librarian and writer from Michigan. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University, a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University, and a Graduate Certificate of American Literature and Culture from Harvard.
She has been interested in true crime from a young age, but her passion for cold cases was sparked with her discovery of the Zodiac murders, thanks to the Zodiac film in 2007.
Since then, she has done extensive research into various cases, spending thousands of hours reading books watching documentaries, and listening to podcasts.
In her spare time, when not on reddit reading about cases and comparisons, she’s probably reading or playing Stardew Valley.
